The Griffins (5-6; 2-2 SLIAC), shot 34.6 percent from the field against the Panthers. Leading the way off the bench was Mallory Proffer's season-high 10 points on 3-of-7 shooting. Katie Sportsman contributed nine points of her own, while Paige black and Riley Guffey netted eight each.
On the other side of the court, Greenville posted a 45.3 field goal percentage. Wesley Woodard led all scorers with her game-high 15 points. Meredith Crosier was the final player in double-figures finishing with 14 and nine rebounds.
At the 6:29 mark of the first quarter, the Griffins jumped out in front at 7-6 on Sportsman's 3-pointer. The two teams went back-and-forth the rest of the way but Maria Reinhard's 3-pointer with 54.0 seconds left gave Greenville a 16-12 lead after one.
In the second quarter, the Panthers used a quick 6-0 run in 49.0 seconds time to take a 22-12 advantage and that forced the FBU coaching staff to take a 30.0 second timeout.
Later, at 4:37, Rylee Stafford made her lay-up and was fouled on the play. After she made her free throw to cap off the 3-point play, the Griffins were down just 28-24.

The team will now take nearly two weeks off for the holiday break before they jump back on the home floor against Wisconsin-Platteville on December 29th. Tip-off at 6 p.m.
