How It Happened
The Griffins dominated the first quarter of play owning a 24-9 lead. The team shot 60.0 percent from the floor and were led by Kya Harbour and Rylee Stafford with eight points each.
The Panthers chipped away at the deficit in the second outscoring Fontbonne 17-12 but the Griffins still led 36-26 going into the break.
In the third, the script flipped with Greenville having a 22-13 advantage in the quarter and eventually took a 44-43 lead with three minutes left. The two teams went back-and-forth but a layup from Riley Guffey gave Fontbonne the 49-48 lead.
In the fourth, the Griffins offense got back on track connecting on 54.5 percent of its shots. The team was able to fend off Greenville the rest of the way for the six-point victory.

- Rylee Stafford broke out with a season-high 27 points on 6-of-18 shooting, including going 12-of-12 from the charity-stripe.
- Riley Guffey hit a new career-high with 20 points on 5-of-11 shooting.
- Kya Harbour hit a season-high with 14 points.
- Jillian Venegas added nine points and a career-high 13 rebounds.
- Haley Buscher ended with six points.
