Women's Golf Finishes In Seventh At The Rhodes Invite

MEMPHIS, Tenn.— The Fontbonne University women's golf team closed out the Rhodes Invite on Monday in seventh place.

Huntingdon College hung on for the victory as they posted a 35-over par 619 (312-307). Host Rhodes College ended up in second at 45-over par 629 (316-313), while Wittenberg shot a 56-over par 640 (321-319) for third.

Individually, Vanessa Leiterman took home the win as she scored an even-par 146 (74-72). She was the lone player in the field to finish today's round under-par (-1).

Sammi Charpentier led the Griffins with her 28^th place finish. She totaled four pars and six bogeys to finish at 44-over par 190 (91-99).

Maddi Vandervort improved her first round score by 14-strokes this afternoon to end at 48-over par. After totaling just one par on the front-nine yesterday, Vandervort had four today and five overall.  

Hannah Householder closed her day out in 32^nd at 52-over par 198, while Casey Linsenbardt shot 11-strokes better in the final round to finish in 36^th.

The Griffins return to action on April 9^th at the Missouri Valley Spring Invite at Indian Foothills Golf Course.
