Women's Golf Stands In Seventh After Round One Of The Rhodes Classic
MEMPHIS, Tenn.— The Fontbonne University women’s golf team hit the course for the first time this year at the Rhodes Classic and they turned in a 65-over par 357 for seventh place.
MEMPHIS, Tenn.— The Fontbonne University women's golf team hit the course for the first time this year at the Rhodes Classic and they turned in a 65-over par 357 for seventh place.
Due to the rain that came in at the end of the day, round one will conclude tomorrow morning at 8 a.m., followed by round two starting at 10 a.m.
WashU leads the field with a 3-under par 289 score. Methodist University shot an even-par 292 for second, while Transylvania University owns a five-stroke lead over Rhodes with a 2-over par 294.
Individually, Samantha Haubenstock (WashU), is on top with a 6-under par 67. Fontbonne, meanwhile, was led by Hannah Householder as she scored a 13-over par 86 for 34th. Sammi Charpentier is right behind her shooting a 14-over par 87. Charpentier closed out her day with birdies on holes 16 and 18.
Maddi Vandervort and Grace Harlin each hit its way to a 19-over par 92, while Casey Linsenbart scored a 27-over par. Playing as an individual, Catherine Fowler, still has one more hole to play as she sits in 47th place.
