Women's Golf Ends Up In Second Place At The SLIAC Championship
JACKSONVILLE, Ill.—For the second straight year, the Fontbonne University women’s golf team ended up in second place at the SLIAC Championship at 728 (366-362). All five of the Griffins golfers ended up inside the Top-15 and cut 150-strokes off last year team score.

Spalding won its second straight title at 670 (334-336). Iowa Wesleyan closed out in third with a team score of 902, while Eureka rounded out in fourth at 968.
Individually, Taylor Thompson (Spalding) won the overall after scoring a 160 (79-81). The Golden Eagles collected the top four spots on the leaderboard, but the Griffins earned the next three.
Maddi Vandervort closed out in fifth place at 177 (88-89). Sammi Charpentier scored a 179 (87-92) for sixth, while Hannah Householder improved her first round score by seven strokes to conclude at 181 (94-87).
Grace Harlin shot a 191 (97-94) for 10th place, while Casey Lisenbardt had a strong second round performance allowing her to end at 196 (102-94) for 12th.
