Women's Golf Picked To Finish Fifth In SLIAC Preseason Poll
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) released the Women’s Golf Preseason Poll and the Griffins come in fifth.
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) released the Women's Golf Preseason Poll and the Griffins come in fifth.
Grinnell College, the three-time SLIAC Champions, sit atop the poll with 81 points and nine first place votes. Illinois College holds down second with 73 points and a first place vote, while Spalding rounds out the top three with 61 points.
Fontbonne returns all four golfers in Grace Harlin, Kya Harbour, Annie McFee, and Lexi Moore from a season ago. They also welcome in Grace Rogers to the fold who will be looking to make an impact right away in her freshman year.
Harlin led Fontbonne last year winning an impressive four events and finished with eight top team finishes, to go along with her 85.5 season average. Annie McFee shot a team-low 85.2 average from last year.
The Griffins look to build off its 2022 spring season where they went 6-0 in head-to-head competition against the likes of Westminster and Blackburn.
Fontbonne hits the course for the first time this year on September 6th at the Blackburn Fall Opener.
