Women's Lacrosse tabbed for 6th in MWLC Pre-season Coaches' Poll
St. Louis- Fontbonne University women's lacrosse was picked to finish 6th in the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference according to the pre-season coaches poll.
Last year the Griffins finished 0-10 on the season and 0-5 in conference.
Head coach Danielle Donze is optimistic about this year's squad, "With 5 seniors leading our team, we're ready to attack each game and each obstacle head on".
Augustana College was picked as the favorite to win the 2013 MWLC regular season. This will be Augustana's first year of eligibility in this conference.
Last year Carthage finished 2nd, North Central finished 3rd and the College of Mt. St. Joseph finished 4th in regular season play. Adrian finished 1st last year, but is now a part of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
Aurora, Beloit and Benedictine are also entering their first year in MWLC competition.
