Daniel Bauer competed for the Griffins at 125 and dropped his first match against Brandon Foster (Buena Vista) by technical fall. In his next contest, he fell by fall against Jose Salinas Nava (Schreiner University).
At 133, Kody Kretzer fell by fall against Robbie Precin (North Central). From there, Kretzer faced Nolan Nguyen (Buena Vista) and it was Nguyen advancing by major decision.
At 141, Cameron Varner dropped a 10-3 decision in his opening match against Carter Fecht (Cornell College). He then squared off against Nathan Berta (Eureka) and it was Berta moving on after the technical fall victory.
At 149, Bradyn Rawlins dropped his opener against Peter McCusker by fall. Rawlins took on Michael Roberts (Westminster) and Roberts moved on by a pinfall win.
Joe Beck picked up his first win on the day after defeating Michael De La Cruz (Buena Vista) by a 3-1 decision. It was a battle between David Burgess (Huntingdon) and Beck, but it was Burgess advancing by a 3-2 decision.
Beck bounced back knocking off Joey Fallon (Westminster) by an 8-1 decision. Beck then ran into Jaylen York (University of the Ozarks) and York fended off Beck for the 8-4 decision win.
At 165, Harry Rodriguez fell by major decision against Gabe Fiser. Rodriguez went toe-to-toe with Robert Silva (Simpson) in his next match and Rodriguez fell by a 7-0 decision.
Connor Morin wrestled at 184 and fell by technical fall against Shyler Langley. Morin competed against Nick White (Millikin) and was defeated by pinfall.
At 184, Micah Dennis faced Thomas Culp (Eureka) and was defeated by pinfall. He also took on Peyton Hammerich (Central College) and Hammerich won by pinfall.
Hassan Fofana represente the Griffins at 198 and dropped his first match by pinfall against Montogmery Mills (Westminster). In his next match on the consolation side, Fofana was defeated by fall against Colin Murphy.
