Bio

Cook comes to Fontbonne after spending two years at Lyon College as the head men's wrestling coach where he qualified a wrestler for the National Tournament in each of his first two seasons and helped the women's team have two National Champions.

"I'm excited to start this new journey with Fontbonne," said Cook. St. Louis one of my favorite places in the world, and I think Fontbonne is a place where we can grow successfully on the mat developing All-Americans and National Champions, while also setting ourselves up for success in life after wrestling as well."

He continued, "I'm extremely grateful to Maria Buckel, Danielle Doerfler, and the rest of the hiring committee for this opportunity. Let's get to work!"

Prior to his stint with Lyon, Coach Cook was an assistant wrestling coach at Kentucky Wesleyan and Wayland Baptist. At Wayland Baptist, he helped the women's program to NAIA National Duals Team Championship and the highest finish in school history placing fourth at WCWA Nationals.

He coached 25 All-Americans, six national champions, five world team trials places and 1 WIT champion for the women's team. He led the men's team to 10 NAIA National Qualifiers and a ranking of ninth nationally. From 2014-16, Coach Cook was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Manchester University.
