Elsah, Ill. - In their second-to-last game of 2015, Fontbonne women's volleyball tied Principia College 1-1 last night, despite a large shot advantage by the Griffins.
Fontbonne outshot their opponents 21-11, however zero Griffins managed to put the ball in the back of the net. After Principia scored in the 19th minute, they also forced overtime by scoring an own goal in the final minute of regulation. All three of Fontbonne's chances in the double overtime were averted by Principia's goalkeeper who made 13 saves on the night.
Tayler Pulvirenti saved four shots in goal for Fontbonne.
The Griffins travel to Iowa Wesleyan for their final game of the season this Saturday. The Halloween contest will begin at 3 p.m.
