How It Happened
Fontbonne Women's Soccer got off to a great start scoring the first two goals within the first 25 minutes of the game. The team continued their lead into the second half scoring three more goals. The Griffins managed to keep Blackburn away from their goal most of the game, allowing no shots on their goal.
The Griffins
- The team had 30 shots during tonight's game with 19 on frame.
- Fontbonne Women's Soccer is now 6-5-3 .
- Junior Molly Kovarik scored the first goal of the night at the 15 minute mark assisted by sophomore Caroline Neal.
- Neal scored her first goal of the night at 23 minutes assisted by junior Sam Amezcua.
- At the 60 minute junior Kierstyn Weaver scored the third goal for the Griffins assisted by senior Rebecca Bass.
- Amezcua scored her own goal of the night at the 65 minute assisted by Bass.
- The final goal of the night was made by Neal assisted by junior Alexandria Smith at the 77 minute.
- Senior Makayla Hussong covered the net all 90 minutes.
Blackburn
- The teams score is now 3-7
- GK Sophomore Morgan Zobrist played all 90 minutes saving 14 shots and allowing five.
