How It Happened
It was a scoreless tie up until the 22nd minute when Krystal Kohenskey initial shot was saved by Megan Davidson but Kierstyn Weaver was right there on the loose ball and scored to give Fontbonne a 1-0 lead.
Fontbonne netminder Mary Beers made two saves the rest of the way to keep the Griffins ahead by one at the break.
In the second half, the Griffins were awarded a free kick at 50:43. Kohenskey stepped into her cross, the ball bounced right to Alexandria Smith and she buried it over Davidson to give Fontbonne a 2-0 advantage. That was all the team needed as they went on for the shutout victory.

- After scoring the game-winner against IWU, Kohenskey followed it up with a two-assist performance and led with four shots.
