How It Happened
The Griffins wasted no time grabbing the early lead when Riley Maag found Kierstyn Weaver and she beat Kylie Mulhern-Guillier for her third goal on the season giving them a 1-0 lead at 4:39.
The team extended it out to 2-0 in the 8th minute when Molly Kovarik had her initial shot stopped but she followed up the loose ball burying it into the back of the net. She wasn't done there as four minutes later she netted her fourth on the season scoring on a cross from Krystal Kohenskey.
The Griffins added one more goal in the 31st minute when Taylor Hawkes netted her first collegiate goal to give them a 4-0 lead at the break.
Fontbonne outshot Iowa Wesleyan 14-1 in the second half and got another goal from Caitlyn Smith, her third on the year, in the 58th minute to make it a 5-0 final.

- The Griffins finished with 26 shots on the evening.
- To go along with her two goals, Kovarik led with a game-high seven shots.
- Kohenskey added three more assists to give her a team-high eight on the season.
- Maag's assist was her first on the season.
- Mary Beers improved to 5-0 on the year.
