FULTON, Mo.—The Fontbonne University women's soccer team extended its winning streak out to six and stayed unbeaten in conference play after defeating Westminster, 2-1.
How It Happened
In the first half, the Blue Jays had a 3-1 shot advantage early and its pressure came through in the 18th minute when Natalie Schulte scored to give them a 1-0 lead and break the Griffins shutout streak at just under 468:00 minutes.
Then, at 35:23, the Griffins tied the game with Molly Kovarik scoring her fifth on the season.
Fontbonne tried to take the lead in the 74th minute but Riley Maag's shot attempt went just over the crossbar. Then, in the 79th minute, the Griffins grabbed a 2-1 lead with Caroline Neal scoring her second on the year. The Griffins held that one-goal lead the rest of the way for the win.

- Fontbonne had a 12-8 shot advantage over Westminster.
- Krystal Kohenskey led with four shots and three landing on goal.
- Neal added three and Kovarik finished with two.
