EUREKA, Ill.—The Fontbonne University women's soccer team registered its 12th straight shutout after a dominating 9-0 win over Eureka.
The Griffins opened the scoring in the 16th minute when Katie Leeker scored off an assist Krystal Kohenskey.
Kohenskey followed two minutes later with an unassisted goal already giving Fontbonne a 2-0 advantage. From there, Beth Kasten netted her first collegiate goal prior to the half ending to make it a 3-0 game.
In the second half, the Griffins got goals from Kohenskey (two), Alyson Carroll, Allyson Jones (two), and Cassidy Head en route to the shutout win.
Team Notes
- This was Kohenskey's first career hat-trick.
- Kasten's was her first on the year.
- Leeker's goal was her third on the year.
- Carroll's was her sixth on the season.
- Jones' goals were her first collegiate and multi-goal game.
- Cassidy Head netted her second on the year.
- Mary Beers and Sam Foppe combined for the shutout win.
