Cassidy, Kohenskey, And Beers Highlight All-Conference Awards

Head Coach Dylan Cassidy won his third straight SLIAC Coach of the Year award. Krystal Kohenskey won her first SLIAC Offensive Player of the Year and was named to the First Team. Mary Beers collected her second SLIAC Defensive Player of the Year and also was named to the First Team.
Caroline Neal, Caitlyn Smith, Libby Bateman, and Carlie Smith joined Kohenskey and Beers on the First Team. Katie Leeker was named to the Second Team, while Alyson Carroll, Bianca Cortez-Perez, and Grace Bray were named to the Third Team. Abby Love was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Cassidy led the Griffins to its third straight unbeaten SLIAC Regular Season. He's the first coach since Lee Ellis (Principia) to win three straight SLIAC Coach of the Year awards.
Kohenskey, a Troy, Mo., native, is having herself a career season posting career-high marks in goals (14), assists (15), and points (43). This marks her third straight season on the SLIAC All-Conference First Team.
Beers, a St. Louis, Mo., native, is back on the SLIAC First Team after starting 16 games, having a .47 goals against average and a .816 save percentage.
She's become the all-time leader in SLIAC history in wins (48) and shutouts (34), while setting the single-season record for consecutive shutout minutes played (1,141). In 14 conference games, Beers has a .008 goals against average and a .952 save percentage.
Neal, a Wentzville, Mo., native, is on her second straight SLIAC First Team after totaling six goals in 17 games this year.
Caitlyn Smith, a Fenton, Mo., native, earns her third straight SLIAC First Team honor after totaling two goals and a career-high seven assists.
Bateman, a Glen Carbon, Ill., native, is on the SLIAC First Team for the first time in her career. The Glen Carbon, Ill., native, scored one goal on the ear and started in 16 games on the Griffins defense.
In her first season with the Griffins, Carlie Smith is on the First Team after making 14 starts on the defense that's allowed just one conference goal during the regular season.
Leeker is on the All-Conference Second Team for the first time in her career after setting career-highs in starts (14), goals (four), and points (nine).
Carroll, a Belleville, Ill., native, is on her first All-Conference Third Team after starting in 14 games and setting a career-high with seven goals and one assist for 15 points.
Cortez-Perez, a Fairmont City, Ill., native, had a strong first regular season for the Griffins totaling five goals and two assists for 12 points in 17 games.
Bray, an O'Fallon, Mo., native, has been a bright spot on the Griffins defense appearing in 16 games in her first season totaling one goal and three assists for five points.
Love, a St. Louis, Mo., native, has appeared in nine games in her freshman season totaling four shots.
