BATESVILLE, Ark. - Bianca Cortez-Perez, Cassidy Head, and Caitlyn Smith of Fontbonne University women's soccer team each scored two goals in today's 6-0 victory over new SLIAC member, Lyon College. The Griffins improve to 3-5-1 overall and 3-0 in SLIAC play.
Bianca Cortez-Perez scored the first two goals for the Griffins. The girst goal was assisted by Mia Biermann and the second by Hallie Becker.
Caitlyn Smith scored the last goal of the first period, increasing the lead to 3-0.
In the 55th minute, Biermann passed the ball to Cassidy Head who found the back of the net.
Both Smith and Head scored one more goal each giving the Griffins a 6-0 win over Lyon College. Smith's goal was assisted by Libby Bateman, while Head's was assisted by Katie Leeker.
Holly Pearce played 90 minutes on goal and recorded three saves.
Fontbonne outshot Lyon, 21-3.
