Benes and Rogers win singles over Greenville

St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne women's tennis fought hard tonight but fell to conference foe Greenville College 7-2.
In a strong No. 1-doubles match, Fontbonne's Mariana Rogers and Hannah Edmundson led Greenville 4-3, but got into serving troubles and fell 8-5. In the middle court, Fontbonne's second doubles team of Bailey Benes and Megan Camp battled to an 8-4 loss.
Rogers got revenge on Greenville's Lexy Baysinger win a straight set No. 1-singles win 6-1, 6-4. Benes took Allison Fennewald to a full three matches, winning 6-2, 1-6, 10-7.
Fontbonne's Amanda Maloney took three sets from her Panther opponent while Edmundson's tough loss ended 7-6 (7-5), 1-6, 6-10.
The Griffins are set to host Kaskaskia on Saturday at 10am barring any weather delays.
