How It Happened
In doubles action, the duo of Chloe Loehr and Jordan Sampson at No. 1 competed well, but the Spartans team of Dani Stevenson and Francielly Morena fended off Fontbonne for the 8-2 win. Missouri Baptist went on to sweep doubles action to own a 3-0 lead going into singles action.
In singles, play, after falling 6-0 in the first set, Loehr continued to battle in the second, though Stevenson was able to come away with the 6-2 win. From there, despite the Griffins efforts, the Spartans were able to go on for the 9-0 win.
