Griffins take down Blackburn and MacMurray over the weekend
Women's Volleyball continues their forward momentum and are 3-0 in SLIAC play on the week.

Jacksonville, Ill. - After winning their first conference game of 2015 earlier in the week, Fontbonne women's volleyball snagged two more St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference wins this weekend. The Griffins defeated Blackburn and MacMurray in three sets each to remain undefeated in conference play.
The Griffins downed Blackburn 25-17, 25-6 and 25-21. Players from each team were kept in the single digits in offensive power as Kristina Eason led the match with nine kills, followed by Kersten McDonough with eight and Megan McKenzie putting down seven kills. Carissa Dodge was busy at the net, connecting on four team and one solo block. Libero Maddie Stadler led the squad with 19 kills as McDonough tallied 12 as well.
Fontbonne then matched up against host MacMurray College. The Griffins defeated the Highlanders 27-25, 25-19 and 25-14 in the heated battle. McDonough totaled 19 kills and 12 digs with a .359 hitting percentage, a career best for the junior outside hitter. Stadler dug out 23 attack attempts while also acing three Highlanders. The junior recorded her 1,000th dig against the Highlanders as she finished the game with 1,008 career digs.
On the day, setters Lynsey Wehrenberg and Mandy DeWitt tallied 35 and 22 assists respectively. McDonough finished with 27 kills, Eason, 16 kills and McKenzie 10 kills. Stadler tallied 42 digs while Dodge finished with 7 total blocks as Holly Richter added five at the net as well. Three of Richter's blocks were solo.
Fontbonne travels to Elsah Ill. Tuesday to take on Principia College and are back in Jacksonville, Ill. Thursday to face MacMurray once again. Both games are at 7pm.
