Game Recap-
It was an eventful day for both teams before the game. Eureka College had multiple obstacles getting to St. Louis, including a broken bus and a flat tire that pushed the game back 30 minutes. Head Coach Jessica Brown managed to show up to the game with six starters and the rest of the team made it to their final game of the season midway through the first set.
The Griffins held their senior night festivities to honor outgoing junior Maddie Stadler and seniors Mandy DeWitt and Carissa Dodge. Each of the three reputable student-athletes made their mark on the program after beginning their collegiate careers as a Griffin. Dodge led the SLIAC in conference-only block assists before tonight while Stadler recorded over 1000 career digs and DeWitt has tallied over 2000 career assists. DeWitt and Stadler are both fourth in their respective career categories in Fontbonne records.
Kristina Eason totaled 11 kills on 16 attempts for a .611 hitting average tonight. Dodge was two-for-three three block assists and one solo block. Holly Richter added Fontbonne's only other solo block on the net. Kersten McDonough served up 10 aces while Stadler led the team with 16 digs in the win.
