Bloomington, Ill. - Fontbonne women's volleyball fell in all three matches at Illinois Wesleyan's tournament this weekend as the Griffins have now lost four games in a row.
Serving and serve receptions hindered Fontbonne's performances this weekend. The Griffins fell in five sets to Plymouth State on Friday before being swept by North Central and Augustana College on Saturday.
Fontbonne committed 16 serving errors and 17 reception errors over the three-game weekend. Highlighting Fontbonne's performances at the net was a total of 25 blocks compared to their opponents four.
Kersten McDonough led the team with 31 kills but Alli Brown's .353 hitting with 14 kills on 34 attempts was a team-high. Holly Richter led the Griffins with 13 total blocks including two solo blocks. Lynsey Wehrenberg notched 51 assists while Mariana Rogers recorded 64 digs.
Fontbonne is at Eureka on Monday and round out Fall Break by hosting Blackburn on Tuesday, October 11th at 7 p.m.
