In the first set, the Griffins grabbed the 12-7 lead on Victoria Curtice's kill. Later in the set, STLCOP trailed 17-13 but went on a 5-0 run to take its first lead of the set at 18-17 on Mackenzie Wagner's kill.
The two teams went point-for-point and once again met-up at 22-all. Then, the Griffins took over by collecting the final three points and went on for the 25-22 set win.
In the second set, it was STLCOP jumping out in front at 7-2 on a Griffins attack error. They continued to hold that advantage as they led 20-15 on Wagner's kill. Fontbonne responded with a 7-0 run to take a 22-20 lead on Eason's kill.
The Eutectics answered right back with the next two points and tied it at 22-22. The Griffins were then up 24-22 but STLCOP wouldn't go away as a service and attack error by Fontbonne made it a 24-24 game.

In the third, Fontbonne got ahead early at 11-6 on Tallo's kill. STLCOP hung around at 13-10 on a Griffins service error but FBU stretched its lead back out to six (20-14) on another Tallo kill.
The Eutectics tried to make a late run on Reno's kill to cut it down to 22-18 but the comeback was not to be with the Griffins hanging on for the 25-19 set and match win.
