A Look At The Griffins
- Fontbonne is coming off a tough five-set defeat against St. Mary-of-the-Woods on Tuesday night.
- The Griffins set season-highs in kills (63), assists (59), digs (109), block assists (18), and total blocks (14).
- On the year, they average 9.01 kills per set and a .086 hitting percentage.
- Maura Rabun leads with 153 kills and a .229 hitting percentage. Rae Andrews upped her total to 129 after her 18-kill performance on Tuesday and ranks second on the team with 157 digs.
- Emma Seiz totaled 21 kills and eight blocks in her last two contests to lift her season-totals up to 88 kills and 30 blocks which is a team-high.
- Taylor Jackson, meanwhile, ranks fourth on the team in kills (73) and third in digs (141) after earning a career-high 25 against the Pomeroys.
- Setter Abby Grumich leads the team overall with 4.47 assists per set.
- Defensively, Megan Schaller totaled 33 digs against the Pomeroys and that gives her 304 on the season. She's 12 digs away from surpassing her career-high and needs just 71 digs to become the ninth player all-time with 1,000 digs in her career.
A Look At The Greenville Panthers
- These two teams met-up back on September 28th at Eureka and the Panthers won in straight sets.
- The Panthers are rolling as of late winning nine of its last 10, including its previous four contests. Its lone blemish was a five-set loss against Westminster.
- In the SLIAC, the Panthers rank first in kills per set (12.63), hitting percentage (.216), assists per set (11.61), service aces (164), service aces per set (2.08), total blocks (130).
- Individually, Abby Freeman leads with 223 kills and a .289 hitting percentage. Jasmin Smith totaled 168 kills thus far, while Annah Finch has 167, a team-high .428 hitting percentage, and 58 blocks.
- Setter Kaitlin Murray averages 6.43 digs per set.
- Defensively, Smith and Chasity Hill are tied with 225 digs.
