A Look At Fontbonne
- The Griffins are coming off a tough five set loss against Blackburn last Saturday.
- The team finished with a .165 hitting percentage and 72 digs.
- Hannah Gallagher registered a double-double in her debut with 15 kills and 20 digs.
- Another newcomer, Jadyn Fitzgerald, added a double-double of her own with 12 kills and 10 digs.
- Jackie Drury contributed eight kills.
- Ella Werner led in the assist department with a game-high 22 assists.
- Defensively, Emma Pramik and Rae Andrews added 15 and 12 digs, respectively.
A Look At Westminster
- The defending SLIAC Tournament Champions were tied for first in the Preseason Poll with 43 total points and three first-place votes.
- The team returns five starters from its championship team that won its first SLIAC title since 1998.
- Leading the way is 2019 SLIAC Newcomer of the Year, Eryka Wanyoni, who had success on both sides of the net with 291 kills and 345 digs.
- Also returning is Natalie Needy who tallied 166 kills and 43 total blocks which earned her SLIAC All-Conference Second Team honors.
- The team will be looking to release setter Teresa Becker who finished with 894 assists.
- Defensively, Erica Schrader returns after compiling 448 digs her sophomore season.
A Look At Webster
- Webster also tied for first in the SLIAC Preseason Poll.
- The team welcomes back sophomore Lauren Borik who earned SLIAC All-Conference Second Team honors after posting a team-high 316 kills and a .269 hitting percentage.
- The team will be looking to replace the likes of Jordan Price and Samantha Kruse who ended with 259 and 223 kills, respectively in 2019.
- Setter Emma Larson returns to run the offense after totaling 377 assists.
- Defensively, the team will have to replace SLIAC Defensive Player of the Year Kristen Farrah after she ended with 694 assists.
- Kyra Gensel, Tori Cichelero, Alexis Wolf, Katie Eskildson and Marisa Lanzotti look to make an impact this year for the Gorloks.
