Women's Wrestling Competes At The Pointer Open

STEVENS POINT, Wis.—The Fontbonne University women's wrestling team hit the mat today at the Pointer Open.
At 130 pounds, Rider Marks squared off against Jennifer Castaneda (Waldorf) and despite her efforts she fell by technical fall, 14-4. Marks moved over to the consolation bracket and met Ngao Shoua Whitethor (Victory Wrestling) and fell by fall at 1:09.
At 143, Kayla Davis faced Michelle Camacho (McKendree), but fell by technical fall, 10-0. On the consolation side of the bracket, Davis fell in 1:46 by fall against Megan Struble (Wisconsin Stevens Point).
Lexi Yancey wrestled at 191 pounds and fell in her opener by technical fall, 11-0 against Jaycee Foeller (McKendree). In her first match on the consolation, Yancey fell by fall at 1:56 against Alondra Aguayo (North Central)
