All runners earn season bests at the Greater Louisville Classic
Louisville, Ky. - Fontbonne cross country participated in the Greater Louisville Classic this weekend hosted by the Louisville Sports Commission and hosted at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park. Both Fontbonne teams ran in the Silver event.
The women's team placed 39th out of 44 teams, defeating Division I Chicago State University. Senior Olivia Beggs led all runners on the day, placing 94th of 365 competitors in the event. Beggs' time was a new personal record, slightly above her PR earlier this season. Claire Becker ran 33 seconds faster than earlier this year. Jennie Stare and Annie McKenzie each recorded new 5K collegiate personal records when they shaved off 21 and 13 seconds respectively. Jaylah Jones added a personal best as well in her second college race, when she ran an astounding two minutes and 27 seconds faster.

For the men, everyone ran a season best as well. Tony Prospero Prospero ran a minute and 18 seconds faster than his first run of 2015 in September. Junior Chris Brown ran his fastest of the past two seasons and Senior Cristian Sellars ran over a minute faster than earlier this year as well.
