Bio

Kevin Lai enters his second year as a Graduate Assistant Coach with the Griffins Cross Country and Track and Field programs. Lai works primarily with the sprinters, hurdlers, and jumpers.

In his first year, the sprints, hurdles and jumps groups broke 13 school records between the indoor and outdoor seasons. In the 2014 SLIAC Championship, Lai coached eight All-Conference performers which included the 2014 Women's SLIAC 400m Hurdle champion.

As an athlete, Lai competed at the Division III level at Penn State Behrend. He was a three-time All-Conference performer, five-time ECAC qualifier and a member of the school record 4x400 and 4x200 relay teams. A captain his senior year, Lai was awarded the team leadership/scholarship award.

Lai earned his bachelor’s degree in International Business and Business Economics from Penn State Behrend and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management at Fontbonne University. Lai is USATF Level 1 Coaching Certified.
