Cross Country previews course for SLIAC Championship
Louisville, Ky. - In a misty rain yesterday, the Griffins continued to improve, with every runner, running a faster per-mile-average than at their previous race at the National Catholic Invite.
Individually, Sarah Rhoads was the low stick for the Griffins taking the reins from Jennie Stare who is still running at about 70% strength. As a team, Fontbonne finished 39th in the Silver Race out of a total of 49 teams that began the race. Defending SLIAC Champion, Spalding University, finished 34th just ahead of the Griffins.
The Greater Louisville Classic was a preview for the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship race. That event, which will also be a 6k, will be held on October 29th. The Griffins are slated to race at the University of Evansville on October 15th.
