Griffins Take Bigger Strides At The National Catholic Invite
South Bend, Ind.-- The Fontbonne University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the National Catholic Invitational today in South Bend, Indiana.
South Bend, Ind.-- The Fontbonne University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the National Catholic Invitational today in South Bend, Indiana.
On the men's side, Jacob Dixon crossed the line in the five mile run at 31:40.6 for 54th place, while Hayden Yates closed his run out in 65th at 37:39.8.
The women's team, meanwhile, finished in 14th place with a total time of 2:10:55. Highlighting the day was Katie Gosser finishing with an impressive time of 19:57.7 for 21st place, which is also the third best time in program history.
Jennie Stare and Sarah Rhoads both finished back-to-back with Stare clocking out at 25:48.7, while Rhoads ended with a time of 26:36.9. Colleen Gosser, meanwhile, rounded out the run at 30:35.2.

The team will be back at it next Saturday at the Austin Peay Cross Country Invitational in Clarksville, Tennessee.
