Cross Country Competes Well At The Austin Peay Invite
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.—The Fontbonne University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the Austin Peay Invite on Saturday and the women’s team closed out in eighth place.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.—The Fontbonne University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Austin Peay Invite on Saturday and the women's team closed out in eighth place.
On the women's side, University of Memphis won the event overall with four of its runners finishing inside the top five.
Fontbonne, meanwhile, was led by Sarah Rhodes' performance as she finished with a time of 25:00 which was good enough for 46th place. Right behind her was Emily Bay with a time of 25:57, while Katie Gosser clocked out at 26:08. Jennie Stare ran a time of 26:18 for a 51st place finish, while Colleen Gosser closed out in 52nd at 30:19.
On the men's side, Jacob Dixon had himself a strong race with a time of 22:23 that placed him in 53rd, while Hayden Yates crossed the line at 25:33 for 67th.
The team will be back on the course October 14th as they'll compete at the University of Evansville Invite.
