Bio

Coach Halley enters his fifth year as the Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. 

In cross country, Coach Halley has guided the women's team to three top-five finishes at the SLIAC Championships, including a fourth place finish in 2021. On the men's side, he led Fontbonne to a fifth place finish in 2021 which is its best since 2011 when the program finished in fourth. 

During the indoor track season, Coach Halley has led the women's program to three straight third place finishes at the SLIAC Championships. In outdoor, the women's program has finished in the top-five in each of the last four seasons. In 2021, the team scored a program record 115 points to finish in third. 

Prior to his stint with Fontbonne, Coach Halley was at Maryville where he supervised workouts of student-athletes, provided leadership, organization, and supervision for all aspects of a competitive NCAA cross-country program including practices, competitions, meet management, travel and recruitment.

Halley earned his USATF Level I Certification in 2016. He's also picked up certifications as a USTFCCCA Endurance Event Specialist (2017), a USTFCCCA Track and Field Technical Certification (2014) and a USTFCCCA Track and Field Program Management Certification (2015).

He's a 2014 graduate of Maryville University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and minored in Education. He's currently pursuing his Master of Sports Science and Rehabilitation at Logan University.
