ST. LOUIS, Mo.—Head Cheer and STUNT Coach Karl Brown is pleased to announce Ashley Johnson as a Graduate Assistant Coach.
Coach Johnson started her cheer career after being involved in gymnastics for many years. After retiring from the sport, she began coaching competitive gymnastics and tumbling. She later found her love and talent for cheerleading at Indian Hills community College and began coaching as well.
She received her Associate in Arts in Business at Indian Hills and then transferred to Lindenwood-Belleville to finish her undergraduate degree, where she also cheered under Coach Karl Brown and Coach Stephanie Brant.
There, she was part of the inaugural Illinois College STUNT team and competed in all three basing positions while also competing on the co-ed team.
Johnson then transferred to Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., where she was part of the all-girl and small co-ed Division II teams.
She'll receive her Bachelor of Business Administration this summer from Lindenwood.
