Men's Golf Finishes In Ninth At The Millikin Country Club Classic
DECATUR, Ill.—The Fontbonne University men’s golf team closed out the Millikin Country Club Classic in ninth place at 64-over par 640 (317-323).
DECATUR, Ill.—The Fontbonne University men's golf team closed out the Millikin Country Club Classic in ninth place at 64-over par 640 (317-323).
The Illinois Wesleyan "B" team took home the victory with a 7-over par 583 (291-292). Millikin University "B" team was right behind them at 9-over par 585 (290-295).
Individually, Mitch Cremer (Millikin), Justin Park (Illinois Wesleyan), and Caleb Dzierzynski (Lake Forest College) went to a playoff after being tied at 1-under par. It was Park, though winning during the playoff for IWU.
Fontbonne, meanwhile, was led by Will Pruden's 12-over par 156 (77-79) performance and that placed him in 34th place. Matt Rapisardo improved his first round score by five-strokes, allowing him to jump up 10 spots to finish at 13-over par 157 (81-76).
Sam Kaminski was the next Griffin on the board at 16-over par 160 (78-82), while Carson King, who played as an individual, scored a 7-over par 79 today to conclude at 20-over par 164 (85-79).
Paul Henderson rounded out the Country Club Classic at 23-over par 167 (81-86) while playing as an individual, Josh Jones, totaled a 36-over par 180 (86-94).
