Griffins open outdoor season breaking two of oldest records on the women's side
Freshman Raven Venegas broke women's volleyball Hall of Famer Nicole Moyer's discus and shot put records in her inaugural outdoor meet. Moyer's record stood from her freshman 2002 season.

Memphis, Tenn. - The outdoor season begin with a bang, as the Griffins opened outdoor competition at the Rhodes College Invitational.
Fontbonne continued where they finished indoor season as they broke and established several records, and personal bests. The weekend was highlighted by freshman Raven Venegas who broke the two oldest school records at Fontbonne in Nicole Moyer's shot put and discus records from 2002. Additionally, she placed eighth in a field loaded with mostly Division I athletes. Currently, after the first weekend, Venegas is ranked 11th in the nation in shot put and third highest-throwing freshman on the NCAA Outdoor Qualifying List.
