Bay Leads Griffins In The Pentathlon At The Polar Bear Invite

The quartet of Katie Gosser, Emily Bay, Jaylah Jones and Colleen Gosser each took part in the event once again.
In the first event of the 60-meter hurdles, Katie Gosser led with a time of 11.79 for 11th place. Bay set a personal-record of 11.90 for 12th place, while Jones (12.56) and C. Gosser (13.41) finished in 13th and 14th place.
The next event was the high jump and Bay led the charge with her mark of 1.31 m, which is a new freshman record. K. Gosser followed at 1.28 m for 11th, while Jones tied her personal-record at 1.25 m. C. Gosser, meanwhile, cleared 1.16 m.
They took part in the shot put after the high jump and Bay stood out once again with a toss of 8.87 m, which is a new personal-best mark to finish in fourth. Jones also set a personal-record at 8.32 m for 6th. K. Gosser (7.42 m) and C. Gosser (6.79 m), though both concluded in ninth and 13th.
In the long jump, Jones led the group as she leaped her way to 4.09 m for 11th. Bay was right behind her at 4.02 m, while K. Gosser and C. Gosser had marks of 3.95 m and 3.38 m, respectively.
The final event was the 800-meter run. K. Gosser led with a new personal-record of 2.57.90 for seventh place. Bay clocked out at 2:58.85 for a new personal-record of her own, while C. Gosser crossed the line at 3:04.20. Jones, meanwhile, ended the run in 12th at 3:12.82.
