Men's Wrestling Competes At The Lindenwood Open

At 125, Diego McCormick was defeated by fall against Aidan Haggard (Maryville). McCormick was forced out in his next match due to injury.
At 133, Daniel Bauer opened with a fall defeat against Elon Rodriguez (Triiton). Bauer went on to face Te'Andre Allen (Indian Hills CC) and Allen went on for the fall victory.
Kody Kretzer competed at 133 and fell by fall against Sam Smith in his first match. He faced Hunter Vernon (Quincy) in the consolation bracket and Vernon won by major decision.
At 149, Cameron Varner started his day off with a fall victory over Blake Swearingen at 3:36. He faced Clay Queen Jr. (Lyon) and Queen Jr., won by fall. In his next match, Varner faced Hayden Rofkahr (Ozarks) went on for the 9-4 fall win.
Bradyn Rawlins also competed at 149 and dropped his opener by technical fall against Anthony Bitner (Triton). Rawlins suffered another technical fall loss against Luke Combs (Lyon College) in his next match on the consolation side of the bracket.
Joe Beck competed at 157 and fell by decision against Jaden Two Lance. Beck went on to knock off Josiah Foss Liberty) by fall and picked up his second straight win over Caden Warren (Carl Albert State).
However, Beck dropped a 6-3 decision against Landon Gode (Rochester Community & Tech) to close out his day.
At 165, Connor Morin faced Lucas Wendling (McKendree) and it was Wendling moving on with a win by fall. Morin went on to face Christopher Worhley (Northeast Oklahoma) and Worhley won by major decision.
At 174 in the gold division, Micah Dennis hit the mat taking on Mckinley Kemper (Lindenwood) and Kemper hung on for the 8-7 decision win. Dennis squared off against Luke Silva (Aurora) and Silva moved on winning by fall.
Hassan Fofana hit the mat at 184 and fell in his opener against RC Morris (Ozarks) by fall. He faced Syrron White (Indian Hills CC) who faced by technical fall win.
At 197, Jake Flowers fell by major decision against Donnell Packer (Quincy). He bounced back with a win by fall over Ethan Chelberg (Liberty), but fell in a tough 4-3 decision against Jonathan Grame (Labette CC).
At 285, James Lenox-Wise fell by fall against Micah Lieberman (Labette CC). He advanced in his match winning by fall over Helliot Santana-Guevara (Joliet JC). Lenox-Wise, though day was cut short falling by major decision against Trey Hudgens (Carl Albert State).
Aleksander Johnson also hit the mat at 285 facing Jason Love in his first contest. Love went on to win by fall forcing Johnson to the consolation bracket. In his next match, Johnson was defeated by fall against Treyshawn White (Indian Hills CC).
