Women's Soccer Collects Seventh Straight Shutout Win; Kohenskey Becomes All-Time Leader In Career Assists

ELSAH, Ill.-- The Fontbonne University women's soccer team extended its shutout winning streak out to seven after a 2-0 victory over Principia. History was also made on the night with Krystal Kohenskey becoming the all-time leader with 37 career assists.

The scoring got started for Fontbonne in the fifth minute when Kohenskey played a through ball for Alyson Carroll and she beat Georgia Rather to the far post giving Fontbonne a 1-0 lead.

Kohenskey sits alone atop the Fontbonne record books as she surpasses Kendra Schilli who held the record of 36 career assists since 2011.

In the 19^th minute, the Griffins extended its lead out to 2-0 when Caroline Neal got to the loose ball in the box and tipped in her shot for her fifth goal on the season.

It was all Fontbonne from then on having a 27-2 shot advantage in the game en route to the win.

Notes

• Kohenskey's assist gives her 77 career points moving her into sixth place all-time.
• Neal's goal was her 38^th in her career and gives her 92 career points just five behind tying for fourth place all-time.
• Mary Beers made one save for career shutout number 30.
