Fitzgerald, Kaempfe, Ella Werner-Click, Pramik, And Harpel Pick Up All-Conference Awards
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) released the 2021 Women’s Volleyball All-Conference Team today and the Griffins saw five players honored.
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) released the 2021 Women's Volleyball All-Conference Team today and the Griffins saw five players honored.
Jadyn Fitzgerald was named to the First Team for the second straight season. Kristen Kaempfe and Ella Werner-Click were named to the Second Team, while Emma Pramik earned Third Team honors. Jordan Harpel was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Fitzgerald, an Oates, Mo., native, set new career-highs with 282 kills, 241 digs, and 28 blocks in 26 matches this year. She also had 3.07 kills per set placing her third overall in the SLIAC. In conference play, she was second in kills (147) and fourth in kills per set (3.20).
Kaempfe, a Perryville, Mo., native, had a standout freshman season totaling 222 kills, a .111 hitting percentage, 159 digs, and 35 blocks. In 12 conference matches, Kaempfe was fifth in kills (130), eighth in kills per set (2.89), and 15th in hitting percentage (.200).
After being named to the All-Sportsmanship Team last year, Ella Werner-Click collects her first Second Team honor. She set new career-highs in kills (53), assists (831), service aces (28), digs (220), and blocks (18).
She led the conference with 433 assists in 12 matches and was second at 9.41 assists per set. Overall, she led the SLIAC with her 8.75 assists per set.
Pramik, a Creve Coeur, Mo., native, also earns her first All-Conference award after setting new career-highs with 28 service aces and 408 digs. She was third overall in the SLIAC at 4.34 digs per set on the year. In conference play, the senior led with 227 digs and second in digs per set (4.93).
Harpel, a Waynesville, Mo., native, also had an impressive freshman season with 107 kills, a .198 hitting percentage, and led at the net with 49 blocks. She finished with 25 blocks in conference action which was eighth best.
