ST. LOUIS, Mo.—On Tuesday December 10th, the Mental Health Awareness Committee held "You Are Worth It Day."
"You Are Worth It Day was an opportunity to bring positivity to our campus during a normally stressful time in the semester," said Associate Athletic Director Danielle Doerfler. "The Mental Health Awareness Committee implemented this idea with great success and we appreciate our faculty, staff and students who stopped by. We're excited to make this a yearly initiative to raise positive awareness of mental health issues and the importance of letting our entire campus community know "You Are Worth It."
The event started at 9 a.m. and lasted through halftime of the women's basketball game against WashU. Faculty, students, and staff were welcome to come on over to the DSAC where they could take a survey to have a chance to win a gift card, take some healthy snacks, take a picture to earn SAAC points, and write down positive words of affirmation and post it on a board for students to read.
