Fontbonne Hall of Fame Class of 2024 Announced
ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Fontbonne University Athletic Department announced the 2024 Hall of Fame Class.
This year, the inductees are: Lauren Austin (softball), Ethan Boyer (baseball), Shannon Fitzpatrick (softball), Kersten McDonough (volleyball), Rylee Stafford (basketball & soccer) and Luke Summers (baseball).
The induction ceremony will be held on Friday, May 31 at 5 p.m. located in the DSAC (Dunham Student Activity Center) Café followed by a cocktail hour with appetizers and drinks.
"It is with great pleasure and excitement that we welcome this 2024 Fontbonne Athletics Hall of Fame Class," stated Director of Athletics Danielle Doerfler. "The committee felt very strongly about these candidates, and they were selected among a competitive group of nominees. We look forward to celebrating these successful alumni and alumnae who embody the Fontbonne athletics legacy."

Lauren Austin
Lauren Austin earns a spot in the Fontbonne Hall of Fame after an outstanding career with the softball team (2004-2006).
She was named the 2005 SLIAC Player of the Year, 2004 and 2005 All-Conference Second Team, and 2006 All-Conference First Team.
Austin appeared in 160 games, scored 135 runs, totaled 196 hits, 40 doubles, nine triples, 16 homers, 121 RBI, 68 stolen bases, 302 total bases, .402 batting average, and a .620 slugging percentage.
She still holds the school record for most triples, she sits third for runs scored, hits, batting average, and doubles. She is ranked fourth in homeruns as well as fifth in slugging percentage.
Ethan Boyer
Ethan Boyer joins the Fontbonne Hall of Fame after an excellent career as a baseball player (2013-2017).
He was honored SLIAC First Team in 2017 and SLIAC Third Team in 2015, and he was also named to the D3baseball.com All-Region Second Team in 2017.
Boyer made 151 appearances, recorded 187 hits, 91 RBI, 45 stolen bases, .333 batting average, .402 on base percentage, and a .415 slugging percentage.
He ended the 2015 season with a 17-game hitting streak and started 2016 on a nine-game hitting streak for a total of 26-game hitting streak.
He currently sits second for most runs in the record book and in fourth on most stolen bases, most hits (single season and career record).
Boyer earned a spot in the 2016 Fontbonne Dean's List as well as 2017 Fontbonne Best Male Student-Athlete.
Shannon Fitzpatrick
Shannon Fitzpatrick was selected into the Hall of Fame after an incredible career as a softball player (2012-2015).
Fitzpatrick earned three SLIAC First Team honors (2012, 2013, 2015), 2014 SLIAC All-Tournament 2014, 2014 Regional All-Tournament Team Selection, 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-District Selections, and 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-American Selections Second Team.
She led the team to four in a row SLIAC Regular Season Titles as well as four in a row SLIAC Tournament Titles (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015).
She totaled 148 game appearances, 131 hits, 64 RBI, 55 stolen bases, .327 batting average, .467 on base percentage, and a .464 slugging percentage.
Fitzpatrick is currently on the top spot of the record book for most triples and most walks. She is also ranked in the top-seven in three other categories.
Kersten McDonough
Kersten McDonough deserved to be inducted into the Hall of Fame after being a member of the volleyball team for three years (2014-2017).
McDonough was a three-time SLIAC First Team selection (2014, 2015, 2016).
She appeared in 92 matches and 343 sets. She recorded 1388 kills, 1572 points, 880 digs, and 86 service aces.
In the record book, she is currently in first place in career attacks and career kills. She is ranked second in career attacks and career kills per season. She is also in the top-seven in five other categories.
Rylee Stafford
Rylee Stafford earned a well-deserved spot in the Hall of Fame after being a two-sport athlete (basketball and soccer) during 2018 until the 2021 season.
As a soccer player, she was named to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team in 2021 as well as SLIAC Third Team in 2018 and 2021. She started in 71 of 85 games played, scored five goals, recorded four assists and 14 points.
As a basketball player, Stafford earned SLIAC Player of the Year (2019-20), SLIAC First Team (2019-20 and 2021-22), SLIAC Second Team (2018-19), SLIAC Third Team (2020-21), and DIII Hoops All-Region Third Team in both 2019-20 and 2021-22.
She started in 84 of 110 games played, including 3,412 minutes. She recorded 549 field goals, with a 38.8 field goal percentage, totaling 298 three-pointer made.
She still holds the school record in individual records for most points per game, points over 300, three-pointers made, and in career records for total points and three-pointers. She is in second place for free-throw percentage as well as total points in individual game record with 37. She also reached 1,000 career points.
Luke Summers (baseball)
Luke Summers earned a spot in the Hall of Fame after a phenomenal career with the baseball team (2016-2021).
He was honored 2018 and 2019 SLIAC Pitcher of the Year, 2018 and 2019, SLIAC First Team
2019 ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team, 2019 D3baseball.com All-Region First Team, 2018 D3baseball.com All-Region Second Team, 2019 ABCA Rawlings All-American First Team as well as Fontbonne Male Athlete of the Year.
During his pitcher career, he earned 48 wins in 315.2 innings pitched, a 2.62 ERA, and 378 strikeouts,
In the Record Book, you can find Summers as the leader in many categories, such as: most innings pitched, most games won, and lowest ERA in single season records. He is also on the top for most wins and most strikeouts in individual records.
