Defense lets the Griffins down

Team Stats
The Fontbonne University baseball team surrendered a two-run lead over the final two innings yesterday to fall to St. Norbert College 7-6. The loss dropped the Griffins to 5-4 overall.
Fontbonne lead 6-4 heading into the eighth inning but the Griffins defense let them down as St. Norbert scored two unearned runs and one earned run to steal the victory. For the day, Fontbonne committed seven errors allowing St. Norbert to score six unearned runs.
Offensively, Fontbonne was led by Alex Roedner who went 2-4 with two RBI's and a run scored. Alex Hill and Rob Berger also tallied two hits apiece.
Tanner Carter pitched well for the Griffins allowing just four hits and no earned runs in seven innings of work. Carter did not factor in the decision.
The Griffins return to the diamond today as they play St. Olaf College to conclude their Spring Break trip to Florida.
