Senior Joey Clemente struck out seven Tigers over seven innings on the mound while allowing just two hits on his way to a Fontbonne 6-0 victory over Iowa Wesleyan. The win is the third for Clemente on the year.

Mount Pleasant, Iowa - Fontbonne University baseball split against Iowa Wesleyan University, suffering a 5-0 defeat in game one's seven-inning contest before reversing the roles and shutting out the Tigers 6-0 in game two. A critical divisional series, the series tie-breaker is Sunday at noon at Iowa Wesleyan.
Game One
Both teams were scoreless until Iowa Wesleyan crossed four runs in the fifth which included a three-run home run. The Tigers closed out scoring with a lone run in the sixth.
Matt Tossick tripled and hit a sacrifice bunt while Ryan Schocker doubled for the Griffins. Right-fielder Logan Mueth was the most successful at the plate, going three-for-two.
Luke Summers struck out four over 5.1 innings of work, taking the loss. The freshman is now 3-2 on the year. Both Fontbonne and Iowa Wesleyan receorded six hits during the game.
Game Two
Fontbonne reversed the rolls on the Tigers in game two by opening up with four runs in the first and one in the second inning. The Griffins then scored their final run of the game when Ben Greenway solo homered to right in the seventh inning.
Fontbonne recorded 10 hits in the game. Greenway went three-for-four in the final game of the day with three, two runs scored and a walk. Ethan Boyer stole a base for the Griffins and scored twice. Mueth once again went two-for-three.
