ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) announced Luke Summers and Jonathan Hoevelmann as the SLIAC Pitcher and Hitter of the Week.
Summers, a St. Louis, Mo., native, went 2-0 on the week, totaling 22 strikeouts, and finishing with a 0.64 ERA. On the year, the junior hurler is 4-0 with a 0.60 ERA in 30.0 innings of work. He's totaled 46 strikeouts and is sitting down 13.8 per nine innings.
Hoevelmann, meanwhile, concluded with a team-high .522 average in Florida and scored 11 runs. He tied his season-high twice against Trine and Olivet with four hits each.
On the base paths, the senior stole a team-high 10 bases. On the year, he's batting .469, to go along with his 23 hits, 20 runs scored, and 16 stolen bases.
The team returns to action this weekend as they'll host Robert Morris-Springfield on Friday for a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m.
