How It Happened
The Griffins got on the board quick in the first with Daniel Youngblood sending a shot over the left field wall, his fourth on the season, giving them a 1-0 lead.
In the second, the Griffins broke the game wide open. Joey Johnson got things started with a two out single to center. After a hit-by-pitch, Lane Smith tripled to left plating the duo to make it a 3-0 outing.
Colby Shivers kept the line moving with an RBI single. After a walk, Braeden Dobbs cleared the bases with his first triple on the season to put Fontbonne well out in front, 6-0.
In the fifth, the Griffins plated nine runs with two outs with Youngblood and Dobbs going back-to-back and Thomas Purschke adding a two-run shot of his own. Fontbonne added four more runs in the sixth with Dobbs tallying three RBI and Paul Wilson adding an RBI double of his own for the 19-0 final.

- Dobbs led at the plate going 4-for-5 with two runs scored, a career-high six RBI and earned his first career cycle.
- Youngblood went yard twice going 2-for-3 with three runs scored, three RBI and extending his hit streak out to 11.
- Purschke ended his day 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI.
- Lane Smith went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI.
- Seven other Griffins had at least one hit.
- The hurlers of Ryan Howell, Derek Morganthaler, who got the win, Nick Glaser, Luke Summers, and Jake Jump combined for the four hit shutout win.
