Game 1 Breakdown
The Red Lions grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first, but Fontbonne responded in the bottom half. Thomas Purschke led off with a single and moved up a base on Daniel Youngblood getting hit-by-pitch. After a walk to Braeden Dobbs, Reece Harris came through with a single to center plating two to tie the game.
Ty Kueper grounded out to first, but Dobbs was able to score giving Fontbonne a 3-2 lead. Fontbonne made it 4-2 in the second on an RBI double from Youngblood.
From there, the Griffins scored three in the third, four in the fourth, one in the fifth, and four more in the sixth en route to a dominating 16-2 win.

Game 2 Breakdown
It was more of the same story in the second with the Red Lions having a 1-0 lead in the first. Fontbonne tied the game in the bottom half on an RBI single from Youngblood. Later in the inning, the Griffins took a 2-1 lead with Colby Shivers ripping a single to center bringing home Youngblood.
In the second, the Griffins plated four more runs on three hits and were helped out by a LCU error extending its lead out to 6-1.
In the third, the offense kept rolling right along with an RBI single from Purschke making it 7-1. Then, Braeden Dobbs sent a line drive double to the wall scoring Purschke and Youngblood giving them a commanding 9-1 advantage.
Fontbonne scored three more in the fourth, highlighted by Shivers solo shot to left, and two more in the fifth cruising to the 14-4 win.
