Game Breakdown
The Griffins put away the game in the first scoring seven runs on two hits highlighted by Matt Helm's 3-run blast and a bases clearing double from Tommy Purschke.
Fontbonne made it 8-1 in the second on an RBI single from Trey Kueper. In the fourth, the Griffins made it 17-3 scoring nine runs on six hits. From there, the team scored two in the fifth and three in the sixth sparking the mercy-rule victory.
