Game Breakdown
The scoring got started for Fontbonne in the third when Carter Lee doubled to right plating Eric Creech, who led off with a single, giving Fontbonne a 1-0 lead.
After a pop out and a fly-out, the Griffins made it 2-0 when Braeden Dobbs singled to right scoring Lee. Matt Helm kept the line moving with a single of his own plating Dobbs.
Fontbonne scored two more in the fourth on a two RBI double off the bat of Thomas Purschke making it a 5-0 game. In the fifth, the Griffins made it a 6-0 game when Helm belted his sixth on the season over the left field wall.
From there, the Griffins scored six more in the sixth with Daniel Youngblood, Helm (two), Colby Shivers (two), and Creech all bringing home at least one RBI and that allowed Fontbonne to go on for the 12-run win.
