Fontbonne Baseball Continues Winning Ways After Fending Off Hornets
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University baseball team jumped out of conference play on Tuesday, but that didn’t slow down the Griffins as they picked up its 13th straight win after a 15-9 victory over Harris-Stowe.

Game Breakdown
In the first, the Griffins got a lead off single from Thomas Purschke. After a strikeout and a lineout, the Griffins took a 1-0 lead on an RBI single from Matt Helm.
Ty Kueper kept the inning going with a single and that allowed Colby Shivers to follow with his fourth homer on the season giving Fontbonne a 4-0 lead.
Braeden Dobbs added an RBI single in the second making it 5-0. After Harris-Stowe got on the board in the third, in the bottom half of the inning the Griffins plated six runs on two hits capped off by Helm's bases clearing double putting Fontbonne well out in front, 11-1.
Fontbonne got an RBI single from Eric Creech in the fourth and Trey Keuper hit his first homer on the year in the sixth putting Fontbonne ahead, 13-6. The Hornets kept hanging around scoring one in the seventh and two in the eighth trimming the deficit to 13-9.
However, consecutive RBI hits from Daniel Youngblood and Dobbs in the eighth allowed the Griffins to go on for the 15-9 win.
