Fontbonne Baseball Belts Three Homers In Sweep Over Red Devils
EUREKA, Ill.—The Fontbonne University baseball team won its fourth straight and 18th out of its last 19 after a 9-3 win over Eureka to sweep the series.

Game Breakdown
In the top of the second, a walk by Paul Wilson, followed by consecutive singles from Trey Kueper and Eric Creech loaded up the bases. After a fielder's choice, Thomas Purschke stepped in and came through with a single up the middle scoring Kueper and Creech.
Daniel Youngblood recorded his fourth straight game with an RBI with his single to center scoring Carter Lee making it a 3-0 game.
Eureka got one of those runs back in the bottom half, however, Matt Helm led off the third and belted his team-high 10th homer on the season over the right field wall.
In the fourth, Lee led off with a homer to left, his third on the year, extending the advantage out to 5-1. Later in the inning, the Griffins had two aboard and Colby Shivers cleared the bases hitting his sixth homer on the season giving Fontbonne a commanding 8-1 advantage.
Starter Gavin Kinworthy was dominant throughout his 6.0 innings pitched striking out seven. Mason Lewis and Nolan Gutjhar combined for five strikeouts the final three innings securing the win.
